SUBJECT: Student Meal Charge Policy 2020-2021 School Year

Dear Parent or Guardian,

Roseville Joint Union High School District is required to notify student households of its Student Meal Charge Policy. This letter provides you with written notification and clarification of the policy.

Roseville Joint Union High School District’s Student Meal Charge Policy states:

  • Meals will be available daily for students
  • Students who have not qualified for a free meal, and do not have enough money to pay for their meal, will have a charge added to their cafeteria account for the meal they are provided. Students will not be allowed to charge a la carte items nor will they be provided a second breakfast or lunch on a single day.
  • When a student’s cafeteria balance reaches negative $2.25, the Food Services Department will send a notification letter to the household weekly until the account balance is no longer negative.
  • Every effort by the District must be made to collect a student’s unpaid meal debt.
  • Meal Application forms will be available at the school site. To simplify and expedite the application process you may apply online at
